So, this is me updating for the first time in forever. I just want to start out by saying that I love it here. UGA is wonderful, and I love most things about it. I've met some great people here. UGA is not what I've expected it to be. I was really hesistant coming here, because of the reputation as a party school and I'm certainly not a big partier (at all). But, it's surprised me and I find myself liking it here a lot. So, if you're looking at UGA, come visit. I'd love to show you around.
As for Redcoats, I love it! We just got back from Florida on Sunday and it was probably one of the best band trips I've ever been on. You know how on band trips you get to know everyone a lot better? Well, this was exactly like that. My room of girls was the best (we "bonded" as Brenda calls it). We all have a lot in common and it was just good to talk with them. Yay band! I spent my fall break hanging out with 400+ people in St. Augustine and it was fantastic. We had a night of worship on the beach with the Redcaots Christian Fellowship and it was amazing (in spite of the cold weather and sand blowing EVERYWHERE)! I'm so glad I found that group, because they are the best people, just a great group of Christians. People shared their testimonies and it was really encouraging. A few upper classmen were really helpful with what they said, probably more than they'll ever know. So, the Florida trip was good, even though we lost to the Gators. I've discovered through Redcoats that I'm becoming a huge Bulldawg fan. I'm even beginning to understand football! These are some big steps for me...
I kind of wish I could have gone home for a day over fall break, but I'm doing that this weekend. I'm coming home Friday afternoon, so if you want to do something Friday night, I'm game. Whenever I go home, I don't usually spend too much time actually at my house. Ironic. I miss home sometimes, but I love it here. So, that's about all I have to say. I hope that everyone's elses school year is going well, and that you're not getting too stressed. Remember to relax and take some time to have fun. Have a great day!
