I am officially down with high school. Now all I have to do is walk at the Arena! While this is exciting, it's also kind of sad. I'm ready to gradaute, but I'm not positive if I'm ready to go to college and live on my own. I'm fairly independent and take care of myself, but still. I'm gonna miss lots of things that are here, like my family and friends. It still is weird to me that this time next year I will have completed my first year of college. Crazy!
Last night was the band banquet, and I must say that it was probably my favorite one. It was a great way to wrap up the year, just enjoying each others company and eating good chicken (has anyone noticed that they always serve chicken? I mean, who doesn't like chicken?!). I'm going to miss that whole atmosphere next year, but it will different, maybe better? Who knows? The video yearbook was AMAZING. I loved every minute of it, even though the effects on it made my head kind of hurt. But the night was wonderful. And I took some great pictures at the end, which I'll try to post sometime on here.
Oh! And yesterday we went to see Star Wars on IMAX! I'm still not impressed with Hayden Christensen's acting and the romance scenes were still kind of cheesy, but it was enjoyable and dark/depressing at the same time. Lucas did a good job with the effects, I now absolutely love Yoda, and I an increasing appreciation for Obi Wan Kenobi (but mainly just Ewan McGregor...hehe). It was so sad though. The younglings! :(
And today was another good day. I had my LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL EVER, and it began with Rexall. I did absolutely nothing for most of the day, but I was very proud of myself. I like to think that I somehow convinced Mrs. Jerrim into watching National Treasure, because it has to do with the bureaucracy and other parts of the government. I amazed myself. I really like that movie. Then we said our goodbyes to everyone, which didn't actually make sense since I am coming back to the school for the pizza lunch and to turn in my Econ book(s), but we did anyway. We went to El Porton with the boys for lunch, which is probably one of my new favorite places to go. so good! And then to Collin's for our final Cookie Day. A great time was had. Then I went to play softball and we lost to the Flying Elvis team once more. I need to practice for softball. I also somehow hurt my arm right above the elbow. It's feeling better now, but it hurt so bad for a while there. After the game, I went to eat at Buffalo's with some of the team and other friends from church. I'm going to miss them next year. And now I'm home, soon to be heading off to bed to catch up on some much needed sleep. 'Night, and you stay classy (I have alwyas wanted to write that!).
