In an apartment in the city, there lived a Liza

mike_mccall and I were busy last night with the apartment - not giving you guys specifics, but let me just say that wow, the next time folks are over here they're in for a shock. (A nice shock, I think) We also did some general cleaning - tidying, washed all the dishes, threw out some old busted chairs, etc... the upshot of all this is that... this place really really feels like "home" to me, in a way it hasn't for a long time. I feel... comfortable here. It's a place to rest and recharge, not a box to escape. I love it.

In general I feel really good today. Relaxed, calm - there's nothing the universe can throw at me I can't handle, and there seems to be time enough to do everything I need to today. God's in his heaven, and all is right with the world. I'm going to sit here wit my toast and limeade and check my f'list, and then settle in to some writing.

Oh, yes - just wanted to let fried_duck know that her and her fiance's gift has already come in very handy (though we're still "WTF"ing over the garden spade). Oh, and sabrina_dawn - likewise yours, there's I think 0.33$ of it left - he rest of it went to filling out gaps in the wedding registry, and some minour groceries. And thank you to everyone who was kind enough to give us wedding gifts - all of them have proven very beneficial!!

Also signed up for the finishathon - and that's closing right away, like in an hour or so, so anybody who had a mind to had better sign up NOW!! I'm feeling optimistic about it this year, myself.

All is chaos under heaven, and the situation is excellent
