I quite like this, actually, dramatically speaking. It makes him that much more interesting, even if it's not a good thing for him as a person. (Which, of course, it's really not.)
I have sort of a love/hate relationship with, because you're right, dramatically it SO WORKS and makes things so awesome and interesting and the show would not be as good without it. But because I'm so invested in Jarod, every time he does it I'm like *wince* "OH JAROD NO!"
I'll be interested to see if your opinion on that changes any by the end of the series.

LOL! What I was going to say, actually, was more along the lines of "Especially as there's a point in canon where that could be totally plausible as non-con," which is just not something I want to think about. *shudder*
