the world is kind of depressing. i need to stop reading the news. too many people dying, too many people wrongfully imprisoned, too much news of imminent global warming disaster.
in other news, i got a harness and leash for the kitten, and ivy and i took him out for coffee. he was a big hit with all the old men in leather chaps who appeared to be there as some sort of mini motorcycle rally. but the cat hated it. i think it was distressing for him to be trapped in an area with so many people and noises, so we won't be doing that again. he's fine now. he's passed out in my bed at the moment.
