the redcoats are coming
Just a quick update on what's been goin' down around the Mehling household folks.
If you've stuck around and read my bitchy posts, you'll know I was pregnant. 'Was' being the important part of that sentence because, yes, I have given birth! Rafferty Josiah Dylan Keats was born on October 11th at 11:45 pm, followed soon after by his brother, Tate Easton Marley Kerouac at 12:36 am on October 12th. Both boys are doing fine after a fairly straightforward home birth (holy mother of fucking god, don't have kids, for serious, the pain the pain), although Rafe has been on oxygen fairly steadily because of some mild heart problems.
They're gorgeous and brilliant and I'm so awestruck and head over heels in love that I can't even articulate it. It's just too big.
Anyway, that's what's taking up most of my time right now (although they're startlingly easy babies) but I hope to be back on track soon.*
*this is a lie. I don't actually give a damn about getting back on track because holy smokes, I have babies. BABIES. And they're amazing and so much better than I was expecting and god, I'm sorry for all the jokes I made about not wanting them and hating being knocked up because they're the coolest little dudes ever.
