Sketchy weather...

Perhaps, now that I have some free time, I will become better at updating this piece.

Good week so far. Sunday, Jen Eastwood, who I haven't seen in a lifetime and a half, drove the three hours down to Mount Vernon to come and keep my lonely ass company. In anticipation of this, I decided to hit the hay early on Saturday night. However, my cellular phone had other plans, and it started ringing at midnight and didn't stop until well after 2. A moderate pain in the ass, but entertaining none the less. Jen arrived bright and early Sunday, and I decided to show her parts of New York she may have never seen. We headed up to White Plains, and I showed her my new "spot," a fountain in the center of the city that plays music and is intoxicating to stare at. It is also within walking distance of two malls and several wicked cool places to eat. She stayed for the day, we cooked at my apartment, watched a movie, and called it a day, as the agony of Monday was looming.

Relatively uneventful week at work. Lots of reading and playing catch up, conference calls, and pretending to understand the Mac version of Microsoft Word. Dammit, i wish I'd paid attention in my high school computer class.

Ok, so the weather here? BIZZARE. Today we're under a tornado watch. My boss gave me clearance to take off early but I think I'd rather avoid driving altogether. It sucks to have so little to actually do at work right now except read. And I can only read in spurts anyway.

Last night was fabulous. Jaybiz came over to my place, got pizza, and we watched the All-Star game. My new goal as a New Yorker is to become one of David Wrights groupies.

"He's busy. And you're annoying"

That is all.
