I think it's going to be a White Christmas...

OOC: I hope it's alright that I let Kate and Liz already be at Terence's apartment! Otherwise, lemme know. But I thought it'd be cute if they had the whole Christmas breakfast and gift giving part together. XDWhen Liz woke up on Christmas morning, the first thing she noticed was that her friend was still asleep. She watched with a tender smile how ( Read more... )

((OOC: Perfectly all right with me. Though these two are always cute no matter what situation we stick them in!)) ^__^

Comfortable, relaxed, and lost amidst pleasant dreams, Katelyn lay curled up on the spare bed without stirring. Her sharp senses heard footsteps and other tiny noises, but her only response was a sleepy smile and a slight shift in position. Though very much unlike her, here Kate felt safe and secure, and knew that no harm would come to her. Very seldom in her life had she ever felt this way, aside from spending the night in town with the two Riley siblings. As Liz left the room, Kate continued to nap peacefully.

However, the sweet smells that soon came wafting in from the kitchen were too nice for anyone to ignore. Lazily Kate stretched her body out in a very cat-like manner, her shirt sliding upward and revealing her taut midriff for a moment as she yawned. Rubbing her eyes she fully awoke, and quietly padded her way into Terence's kitchen to investigate.

OOC: I'm pretty sure I can find something to stick them in which is less cute... =P Just don't feel like looking for it. XD

Liz stood with her back to Katelyn when the young Slayer entered the kitchen. There was already one pan with scrambled egg, in the oven were croissants turning golden brown and the girl was now busy preparing a mixture for pancakes.

But her Seer abilities weren't entirely useless and she'd grown used to Kate's presence that she could probably find the girl blindfolded in a dark room. "Good morning, Katelyn," she greeted her special person warmly. "And... and merry Christmas."

Blue eyes blinked twice in quick succession as those last few words dawned on her. "Oh!", the naive girl exclaimed before turning to rush back into the guest room.

Rustling sounds could be heard from the other side of the apartment wall, as could a slight thump when in her excitement the normally nimble Slayer bumped into a random piece of furniture. Before Liz could finish with the pancakes Kate had returned with her plain, brown sack slung over one shoulder. Having unpacked her clothes and the other necessities she had brought along for the sleepover, all tossed into the same bag, it now contained only the presents meant for the two Rileys.

"Merry Christmas Liz!" Kate happily chirped a holiday greeting as she slipped behind the cook and dropped her gifts in the living room. The contents shifted with a faint clack before she skipped back towards the kitchen. "That smells really good," she said honestly and eagerly with an almost childlike exuberance. "Can I, help?"

Liz giggled softly when she heard how her excited friend stumbled into things and all.

"Thank you," she beamed as she finished making pancakes. "And you can help... with eating everything," Liz giggled. She began to put those things already finished on the table. "Terence is awake as well. Just not... fully awake yet. But he'll be here in a minute. Then we can have breakfast. And after that give presents."

Always wanting to make herself useful, Kate instead helped to carry plates and glasses to the table. Though the idea of cooking with Liz appealed to the wild girl, privately she was a little relieved that she wouldn't ruin everyone's holidays so soon by burning their morning meal.

A large smile beamed on Katelyn's face as well. To her, things were about as perfect as they could possibly get already. And the exciting thought was that, as the sun slowly began to rise, the two girls and the still sleeping Terence had not yet begun the actual celebrations.

"I'll be right back," Liz said softly before she slipped into her brother's room. She knew he was awake already. Now he had to get out of bed as well, or the pancakes were cold. And she wanted to see Kate's reaction on the presents she and Terence bought for her...

There were some muffled noises and soft giggling. Several moments later, Liz returned, though being carried by her older brother. "Good morning, Kate," Terence greeted the other girl as he put Liz on a chair. He sat down himself as well. "Did you sleep well?"

Liz wriggled down from the chair almost as soon as she had been put on it to fetch the coffee for Terence and tea for her and Katelyn.

Curious blue eyes followed the girl down the hallway, where she disappeared into Terence's room. She smiled as she listened to her two friends, feeling right at home.

The smile grew wider as the pair returned to the kitchen. "Hi Terence!" Kate chuckled at the sight of brother carrying sister through the doorway. But as Liz slipped out of her chair, the slight distraction caused her eyes for follow her for a moment before returning to the young man seated at the table. "I slept, really good. Did you?"

"I slept very good as well," Terence replied. His eyes followed Liz with the coffee and tea. "Thanks, Liz," he smiled after she'd poured him a cup of coffee.

Liz returned the smile before she turned her attention to Katelyn. She filled Kate's mug and her own with tea. "I hope you two will like breakfast," she said as she settled down on the chair again. "And you'd better hurry up or everything will be cold again."

Kate looked over the feast that Liz had prepared for the trio, her eyes already devouring the savory morsels. With the cook's recommendation, she reached for one of the freshly baked croissants, liking them best because to her they looked like little crescent moons.

This was certainly not the first time that Liz had cooked breakfast, but her culinary skills never ceased to amaze Katelyn. "Oh," she exclaimed after chomping into the warm, buttery roll. "Mhmm...these are great!"

"Thanks," the young Seer smiled at the compliment. She watched how her brother enjoyed his breakfast as well before she took some herself. "I'm glad you two like it."

"How can we not like it, right Katelyn?" Terence replied with a little wink. "Your cooking is the best I've ever tasted."
