"Artemis~"

The small girl slipped in the room where the white cat was as well, her hands behind her back. There was a small, mysterious smile on her face and her cheeks were covered with a cute rosy blush.

She stopped just before her best friend and kneeled down. "I've got something for you."

Artemis snickered a little, "See? You know more than you think you do... 'Rei-chan.'" The cat found it obvious that Liz was a little more confused than usual. "It means, Rei-chan has an important duty to carry out from a very long time ago, but she couldn't remember on her own. She should probably just ask Mina about everything else. It's not something Liz has to worry about, because Liz has enough to worry about lately, doesn't she? Besides, we should...enjoy our food..."

Remembering the goodies that Liz had brought, he was reminded of just how annoying, or at least messy, it could be to eat apple pie as a cat. Not being able to enjoy his Liz's cooking suddenly seemed like a much more dire situation than any involving world shaping ancient magic he could discuss.

Appearing to be perplexed by the plate, he spoke reluctantly, "I'm not really sure, how to eat a whole slice of pie like this, unless you want a big mess." He held up a paw, wiggling his short toes at Liz. "Sorry, I didn't really think about it beforehand."

"Oh. Uhm..." Liz thought about it for a moment, pushing Rei and her Sailor Mars thingies aside for a while. "I could cut it in smaller pieces for you if you like that. Or..." The girl blushed a little. "Or I feed you. Uhm... depends on what you prefer, I guess."

"Yeah..." Rei solemnly nodded at Artemis's words. "Liz...I'm sorry I hadn't said anything before now, but, well...let's just say that I know exactly what you were going through. Because I was going through the same thing, myself..." Her eyes turned to meet those of her young friend. Not wanting to dwell on the subject too long, she simply said "If you ever need anyone to talk to, besides Artemis that is, I'll be here."

Pausing to look at her own slice of pie and then the cat next to her, she couldn't help but snicker back at him upon trying to imagine just how he was going to go about eating his sticky, gooey, snack without making a complete mess of things.

Artemis blushed slightly to the cook, but mostly for the fact they had an audience. "Well, if you, want to do that, I don't...mind." That was all he could say, not wanting to sound too eager, though he actually rather enjoyed the idea of being hand fed by his Liz. He couldn't keep his head from sinking ever so slightly, glancing sidelong to their guest, who was more than likely enjoying her chance to watch these things.

Liz smiled and picked the white cat up to put him on her lap - and close to her breasts. She picked up a fork then and started feeding her special person - or cat - with great care. And a great deal of blushing.

"Ah... it's... It's alright. I mean..." Not really daring to look up, because of the blush, Liz kept her eyes focused on Artemis. "Your mother died as well... didn't she? But you see... I'm not sad. Not anymore. It hurt at first, when mama died... And everything was just confusing. So many impression I shouldn't see..."

Liz looked up a little to smile at her guest. "But it's alright now. Mama was in a lot of pain, you see. Before she died. She has always been in a lot of pain. I tried to help her, but... I wasn't smart enough to find out what her illness was. But now she's in another world, where she'll have no pain anymore and where she will be happy forever."

All Rei could do is force a weak smile onto her face, as she knew all too well what the girl was going through. "Yes, it'll be all right. It always hurts a little, but it's important to know that they're in a better place now." With a small laugh, she added "When I was young, I believed that there was a beautiful kingdom on the Moon, and my mother went to go live there like in the fairy tales..."

Turning her attention towards her two friends, her small smile became a more genuine grin as she watched both of their faces slowly filling up with color. She was reluctant to tease too hard, for fears that either of them would accidentally interrupt her and Minako in a far more compromising situation, but it was rather sweet watching the way that the two took such good care of one another.

"It is alright," Liz said in a soft, but rather firm voice. "Mama said so. She'll be in a nice place and she will wait there for Terence and me. Father can't go there and no one has to be afraid or in pain anymore."

The girl smiled at the other Seer. "I'm sure your mother is in a nice place now as well. All good and nice people go to a nice place where they can be happy."

The sudden firmness in her friend's voice startled Rei for a moment. Then, the shrine maiden slowly began to smile in admiration of how strong this little girl was on the inside, where it most counted.

Apparently she had problems with her father as well, but Rei was not about to spoil the mood anymore than she already had by interrupting Liz and Artemis. She had already told her fellow Seer that she would be there for her, and that was enough for today...Liz could always talk about her other troubles whenever they were bothering her. Instead, Rei quietly sat back and enjoyed her pie almost as much as watching her adorable friend feed the white cat a piece of his own.
