OOC: Taken place that night after the fight. Still open to anyone who wants to visit them.Liz sat next to the bed where Kate lay. Night had fallen over St. Catherine's, many hours had passed since the fight. The girl - the original cause of the fight, although she still had no idea what she had done wrong - remembered little of what had taken place ( Read more... )

Akiko woke up in a strange bed, which stood in a strange room... and she was tied down to it. That were the only few things that her chaotic, screwed-up mind could register before panic fully hit her. She had little memory of what had taken place. From the pain in her body, she knew she must have gotten hurt, but Akiko could not remember how.

But being tied up... if there was one thing the ninja absolutely couldn't stand, it was being tied up. Being helpless and left as a victim for others. It scared the hell out of her.

She began to tug at the strains, first tentatively, but soon with full strength. She whimpered, pleaded and finally even screamed in her mindless fear.

Liz followed the noise and her feelings to the source of the panic. She knew Akiko had been brought in unconscious, severely wounded and tied up to the bed because she was 'dangerous'. But all the Seer could see right now was a young girl, confused and terrified to death. She knew what it was like to be terrified and she knew what kind of torture it was. Even if Akiko was the one who cut her, Liz couldn't bear the thought of keeping anyone in such torture.

"It's alright, it's alright," she said in soothing voice and she slowly approached. "It's alright, don't be afraid, nothing will happen to you."

"Liz, wait!"

Rei had been in the waiting room, but like Liz, had felt the psychic tremor caused when Akiko regained consciousness. Upon seeing Liz trying to free Akiko from her bonds, she rushed to her side and placed a hand on her friend's shoulder as a sign to show some caution.

"Don't let her go. I know she's frightened, but please wait." Rei looked down at her fellow Seer with sympathetic eyes. "I know she's suffering. But we can't take the risk that she won't attack you again." Knowing Liz to be as selfless as she is, Rei quickly amended that statement. "Or Katelyn. She's too weak to defend herself now, if Akiko were to lash out at her as she had done before."

Turning towards the frightened girl, she did much the same as Liz had tried to do. "It's okay, Akiko," she said at first in English for Liz's benefit, then switching to Japanese. "It's okay. You're with friends. Don't be afraid...you won't be harmed."

Words went unheard. The panic had her in an even tighter grip than the voices ever could and it washed over everything that allowed her to think.

"Please let me go, please let me go, please let me go," she kept repeating over and over again until it became just gibberish. Tears didn't help to make her words come out clearer.

Liz's words were more true than she may have meant them to be. The huge slash in one of Kate's sides easily could have been fatal, if it had not partially resealed when the young Druid took the form of a wild animal during the fight. The two stabs in her side had caused her to lose quite a bit of blood, so much that Katelyn still lay unconscious in the bed too weak to move. And the knife that tore through her lung made breathing without the assistance of a machine impossible. Even her face was bloodied and bruised, making her a little difficult to even look at due to her numerous injuries ( ... )

"No Liz around?" Ralph approached her friend. "I guess she went back to her own bed to get some rest, huh? Both you could use some rest after what happened today..." She sat down on the chair where Liz had sat only a few minutes ago.

"I hope you'll get better soon. I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner, I was caught up in some extra stuff for teachers. And I had to get you a get-better-soon present, of course."

Jessie strolled through the infirmary, for the first time as a visitor and thankfully not once again as a patient. She had only heard rumors, but once she had gotten back from the pool hall word was that a brawl broke out that afternoon while she was in town. Somehow Soi got caught up in all that, and Jessie felt it only right to return the favor from the professor's earlier visit to see her when she was down.

As she walked past the door to the Intensive Care Unit, she could have sworn she saw her roommate sitting there talking to someone. Backing up, she peered into the room. "Yo, Ralphie! You know which room they keepin' Prof. Fong in? I..." Her eyes then fell on a girl lying unconscious on a hospital cot, heavily bandaged and with a tube down her throat. That didn't look like the result of some after-school fistfight. "Dammit, girl, what happened here?"

((OOC: Just realized my planning for this thread was a little poor. Problem is that if Kate's unconscious she can't reply, and even once she does come to she's won't be able to ( ... )

"No idea, actually," Ralph replied in all honestly as she looked up from Kate's unconscious form to see Jessie standing in the doorway. "All I heard were some rumours. Laurian's too busy to tell me anything other than that there had been a fight that involved Kate, Liz, Akiko and professor Fong. Apparently, knives and swords and such were drawn as well and things got bloodier than expected. What are you doing down here?"
