And the Crowd Roared!
Updating on my life...where to begin?! Much of my time has been spent going to classes, having rehearsal, doing work, and then attempting to find some time to make something of my pitiful social life. Yes, sleep must fit in a minuscule time frame as well. However, I feel that mentioning the show may be the best place to start with.
Well, opening of Some of My Best Friends was on Tuesday although I could not be there, (for reasons I do not wish to disclose...most people know anyway) I heard it went very well. Wednesday we had two shows, oh and my mommy and daddy came (yes I still call them that =)! ) Then again yesterday we had another two shows. I have come to the conclusion that having two shows a night, even if our show is just 45 minutes long, is cruel and unnecessary punishment. There is not enough time in between shows to actually be able to be productive. Especially since the talk back takes place after the first show and cuts into my: let's eat, rest, just give me a freakin break...time. On top of that, many people don't really want to respond to the talk back so people are just called on until they feel so uncomfortable that they decide to say anything just to take the focus off of them. I even raised my hand yesterday! And...! Yesterday our evening audience consisted of eleven people. They were actually very responsive, much more than I can say for some of our previous audiences, but I still felt it was like death. My only consolation from last night was that we had some fun reading some articles in Cosmo. Tonight we will read confessions, which are Nadiene's favorite. Ok, I have now come to the end of my rampage and end this journal on the note that the weekend is here!!!! Freedom!!! (well sort of).
