I am loving this view of Xander from Moira's perspective. Poor guy. Found a life and his old one is pulling him back in.

In many ways, he never really escaped.

This is just a kinder, gentler version of Alterna-Xander in Water Hold Me Down (which I've been picking at lately, believe it or not).

This feels like it's going to get very nasty - looking forward to reading the whole thing tomorrow.

OK, I'm already hooked.

Poor Xander - has the ordinary life, a loving wife and daughter and bam. Bad moon rising.

I like your Xander voice here - an older Xander to be sure, but still Xander.

I cannot tell you how much I love this story. I read it through in one sitting, and am right back at the beginning again. I plan to take it slow this time. It's really dense, and studded with wonderful characterizations, and I love the way it unfolds mysteriously. It's very telling that we, the readers, can tell who everybody is, when the POV character doesn't have a clue.

It's a little heart-breaking that his supposedly mellow, even-tempered wife is so quick to throw him out and not listen. But heck, it took Joyce quite a while to come to grips with the Slayer side of the world, and she had more reason to. Still, it must be a blow to have your main support withdrawn so thoroughly. They need each other!

Wow! Thank you for not just reading in one gulp, but going back to re-read. :-)

Just the same, I'm hoping to write a fic that's more straight-forward, more reliable-narrator really, really soon. And possibly even a story where I won't need to take double-doses of Xanax after I'm done writing it. Seriously. I'm a happy gal by nature. :-)
