Oh, that was you...

Well, that kind of explains its all-round awesomeness.

Oh, you are more than welcome. I spent an entire afternoon reading the story, so it definitely deserved the recognition. I just recently saw the DLM movie and agree wholeheartedly with your reactions to it, but I'm glad that the realizations you had led to this story.

Thumbs up!

Can I just mention how awesome this fic is? I read the single chapter posted on this journal, but couldn't wait to read the rest. Coming from someone who knows of the DLM universe only from reference, the explanations and recaps were well incorporated and welcome, and the plotting was well paced.

Bravo =)

Oh, doh! Of course something that awesome would be you! The Xander scenes alone should have tipped me off (though I will admit to suspecting nwhepcat).

And those are fascinating thoughts about the relative weaknesses of canon when crossing over. Not something I've thought about consciously, but definitely something I've done in the past.

Hope this makes sense

This comment might get a little longish, so before I say anything about the story, let me preface this by one thing: You are one of the writers who got me into the whole fan-fiction thing. So anything you do to anything I wrote, I will at least read with fascination and enjoyment, even if I should disagree completely.

The "Six Drabbles about Dawn and Death" were quickly tossed off in response to challenges on the tthdrabbles community. I had just re-watched DLM and enjoyed it again and wanted to do a crossover. Dawn actually is the only BtVS character I can imagine becoming a reaper. All the others simply don't work (for me) in context. So when I had the second one, which was entirely written to the punch line, I knew I wanted to do a little arc. I never would have chosen it for a remix, but I'm very glad you did. You even managed to make the weakest of the drabbles, the book reaper, into a fascinating part of the Dead Like Dawn universe.
