So, about the story? Like Tessarin stated, is this a dream-sequence? Or the real thing? And would Giles be calculating enough to send two Slayers to their deaths, knowingly, to fool Xander, if this is the latter.
My gut tells me that, yes, he is that calculating. Xander would do it if there was no other way, even though he'd be blaming himself (which you beautifully pointed out in that little sequence with Bunny. Show them what they expect from the real deal...)
Can't wait for the conclusion, Liz. This is pure gold and you have me rooting for both sides. X and by extension F, aren't your typical vamps.... Like Faith said, he'd be fighting alongside the Slayers if it was EOtW-time.
But still, is this real or a nightmare? Because Xander in Africa, as a vampire, finding and training Slayers. Meeting up with the rest of the Scoobies. Doing all the stuff a Watcher is supposed to be doing, in the midst of Slayers, all of whom have some sort of Vamp-detection radar built in, albeit at different strengths. So how come he managed to stay out of the sun, undetected by any of the Slayers, for such a long time? Or is he some other kind of vamp? One that can walk in the day? An offshoot or evolutionary step up? How long has he been one? Certainly after Jesse was turned...
