This is weird, but the most eye-catching thing so far is the weirdly specific numbers that have shown up in each chapter. Faith taps her lip 10 times. There are exactly 35 bags of vampire dust. It's eerie.

I wonder if the vampire dust is for the jewel, or just to very realistically fake a big fight/slaughter to cover the getaway. The purpose of the dust really intrigues me.

Excellent work as always. Thanks for writing and sharing.

Well, you did find out what the dust was for, so good guess by the way. :-)

You have to admit it's clever. And probably a sign that Xander watches too much "CSI."

So very confused. I still think I know the what, just even more confused about the why and how they ended up here.

Is it okay to like it and squirm at the same time with dislike?

The good news is that you're supposed to hate them and like them at the same time. I mean, cheerfully immoral vampires crossed with Xander and Faith still being Xander and Faith...heee! And definitely poor Faith on more than one level.

And as I like to joke...they ended up on Revere Beach because of a MacGuffin.

Is it wrong to be frantically hoping they get away with it, even though I'm 90% certain Giles is onto them?

Well, Giles was fooled all right...just fooled in the wrong way, which is kind of tragic for Xander and Faith.

Of course, he's not the only one. I suspect there are a lot of people who are going to be feeling guilty about getting fooled.
