I know. It's a looooong weekend and I'm posting this. That's because it took me forever to write this up the way it should be.

In any case, you are all in for one hell of a treat. Okay, maybe it's more me that's in for a hell of a treat ( Read more... )

Good music.

I semi-recognized the name, and having listened to a few songs, I recognize the voice. :-)

Thanks for posting these. :-)

Enjoy the tunes!

Crenshaw's one of those names and voices that people seem to vaguely know who he is, and his earlier stuff sometimes shows up at the low-end of the FM dial where all the independent and college radio stations still live. I'm pretty much floored that he's been around for almost 25 years. I'm more floored that he's not bigger than he is.

It is kind of like my favorite artist. His first record was released the year I was concieved, and it took 44 albums to actually have a number one hit and album with 2004's "License to Chill". Of course, most die-hard Parrotheads feel he sold out with that album to make a quick buck ;-)

Jimmy Buffet is god. *nods, nods, nods*

Yet, strangely, I've never actually owned any of his albums. Until recently, I had people around me who had his albums (CDs, pirated recordings, rare releases...) so I never really had to.

I like the Parrotheads. They're much saner than the Deadheads and a hell of a lot more fun. I keep wanting to hit up a concert to groove to the good time, but he's always sold out by the time I hear he's pulling into my area.

Well, I'll be sure and keep an eye out for the next one in your area, as I keep my nose to the wind for news on his tours. :-)

Sadly, I've been shut out the last two tours, as tickets are a PITA to get through Ticketmaster.

I have most of his albums, and after finals are over, I'll try and remember to do a Buffett Music post in the vein of your efforts. :-)
