Do you know what I've noticed about Matt Smith?
I find him incredibly attractive in action because, well, he is basically a walking, talking, spastic ball of charm. But it is VERY difficult to find photographs of him where his face doesn't look somewhat INCREDIBLY RIDICULOUS. Because there is just... a LOT of face going on there.
He is rather best photographed from ANGLES. Matt Smith is all about the ANGLES.
P.S. It does not help my FURIOUS inexplicable attraction to him that he is a ROCKING footballer.
You see? ANGLES. And that curl of hair at the base of his neck.
He really is a terrible hipster. Luckily, I have a thing for boys pulling their sleeves down over their hands. I think I find it to be some sort of endearing physical manifestation of self-consciousness or insecurity. Although Matt Smith is apparently the sort who will happily put on a thong and film shower scenes and touch his nipples.
And sometimes he just looks REALLY GOOD.

RIDICULOUS. Secret: Matt Smith's fingers sort of terrify me. They just look like they've all been horribly BROKEN at some time!
Doctor Who is the first show since X-Files where I have trouble deciding where to look during the episodes, because I find both leads equally amazing (and HOT.) I want to stare at both of them throughout the whole of each episode.
Karen Gillan makes me mad, because she's so HOT and she's a great actress and she's got the exact same body type as I do except SHE'S got legs that go on for miles. And she's got a Scottish accent and red har. AND she's younger than me. NO FAIR KAREN GILLAN.
She also has pretty cute style.
And freckles.
God, I want her hair so badly.
Karen was a model before she became an actress, and has a scattering of somewhat odd couture photoshoots, some of which make me really glad she got out of the modeling industry and gained some weight.
I love the ankle riding boots she wears all the time. She has skinny ankles like me! A Jane Austen matron would hate it, but I like it.
So, spoiler alert. MATT AND KAREN PRETTY MUCH WANT TO DO EACH OTHER.
And no one but me, RD, Alex and Other Liz are interested in reading tons and tons of fic about that. But there it is.
They pretty much never take a picture without Matt's arm securely around Karen's waist, and Karen's body angled in towards Matt.
They make each other laugh ALL THE TIME, and tease each other like school children.
I mean, really.
And they spend all their time traveling around the UK doing DW promo stuff, basically showing up and being like HI KIDS I'M AN ALIEN AND A HOTTIE. It still boggles my mind a bit, as an American, that Dr. Who is a kids show. Do you know what we make our children watch? THE WIGGLES. America is so dumb.
Ugh, when you watch Confidential and basically any interview where these two interact, it's so clear how much they LIKE each other, ok?
In conclusion, they should make out.
I suppose that was, what you could call (in scientific terms) unnecessarily long. It's a thing. Respect the thing.
