Update on my homework (in case anyone cares):
Done. The stuff I've been doing is for my online web design class and so far it's been super easy (last week was making sure you had all the applications you needed). However, am I glad that I'm taking it because I'm using my new baby (ie the mac laptop) for all of it and it's good for me to learn how things work differently on Macs than on PCs. And by differently I mean better.
