Say hello to my little friend...
We got our bottoms out of the apartment yesterday and went for a hike at Cherokee Marsh. Holy cow was it warm out.. almost too hot! But it was wonderful to be outside. Being early early spring not much had started growing yet, however the fun animals made up for a lack of green. We spotted a kestrel when we first hit the trail and we could hear either cranes or great blue herons courting loudly in the distance :) And the chorus frogs were just intense. I have a video of them in a marshy area, and while you can't see any of the itty bitty guys, the sound of their calls was almost deafening at times (my little tiny digital camera microphone just doesn't quite portray the deafining part though). Finally on our way back to the car, we came across this Leopard Frog along the trail. He was very patient with me while I went all paparazzi and stuck a camera in his face. ;) It worked though and I got this really fun shot :)
