(no subject)
I'm so tired! I've had kind of a busy weekend. I went to Spring Valley, New York on Saturday to the Russian cemetery. It's actually a monastery because it also has a church and nuns. Anyway, I got to pray in the only place in the US that I can really pray in. It was kinda hard though because I had gotten into a fight with my Mom that morning and I was still in a bad mood. Then I went to my grandpa's gravesite. I really miss him. Things would be so much better if he was still around. *sigh* All of this might seem a bit creepy to you but this is what Russian Orthodox people and my family do so I don't care what you think about it.
Sunday I just hung out around the house. I got up at around 8:45 though, which is way too early for the weekend.
Today I had to get up at 6:00 because I had the history field trip. We went to Hyde Park, New York. It's right next to Poughkeepsee. We stopped at Burger King on the way for breakfast. Got there at 10:00. Did WORK (yup, that's what happens when you are in honors US history with Mrs. Gardner). It was pretty though but the buildings were too hot. In case you didn't know, Hyde Park is where FDR lived. The ride there and back took about 2 hours. The bus (coach) went slow. The views were beautiful but both my Mom and I were getting annoyed with all of the stupid things everyone was doing. We got back to school at 4:30. I might post some pics of the trip in here once I get them developed.
Now, time for the stupid homework I've been putting off all weekend. I really need to start doing it right when I get home.
