They *are* deleting/hiding support requests/complaints about the purge. I took some quick screenshots as proof.

Okay, maybe I'm being a little excessive, but it sure proves LJ is deleting/hiding the requests.

There is no way to delete support requests. They're taken private /where they will get a response/ because the 'normal' support volunteer who can answer requests on the public boards isn't equipped to deal with them.

They're not deleting them. Feedback or Abuse posts, no matter the subject, are always turned private (and so are requests about Payments or SUP issues). Only the poster and the volunteers having the necessary privs can see them. (I'm not a volunteer myself but I've posted to support and feedback often enough to know how it works). This is the first time I've commented, but I wanted to say something as a former support volunteer.

Public support categories are handled by volunteers who aren't qualified to handle policy questions. The General/Unknown category, for example, is for journal usage questions that don't fit anywhere else--such as how to delete an account, use a friends page, etc.

What happened is that these requests were removed to the private categories where they can be answered by people with the appropriate training/connection to higher-ups. This is how it's been done for years, and has nothing to do with this particular blow-up.

As a side note, the request board shown in that first screenshot only displays requests that are awaiting further action.
