Hidden
Liya had learned at an early age that to share too much of one’s feelings was to give much about yourself away. And you had to be careful who you gave these things to because many people would turn right around and use what you gave them to their benefit. [And usually not for your own benefit].
Aside from her companion Tsali, Edmond was the first she felt safe opening up to and even so she’d been cautious in the beginning. Of course, now she trusted him with everything… everything about her. He found the magic and knowing of things intuitively to be odd, but he had adapted and he accepted her for who she was, not demanding that she change anything of herself.
She no longer felt such a need to hide things. Edmond and Tsali were her companions now. The child was almost here but was not yet old enough to understand her words, merely her emotions. And she was happy and free.
