Wow, but a lot has been going on lately.
On Saturday
libralyte and I had one of the Best Days Ever. Friday night had been great, cuz we went to dinner with
reikisprite and
papabear1979, then stayed overnight at their place. Saturday
libralyte says, since we're here, why don't we go to that newish shopping center and explore? So we did. It turned into me getting two pairs of shoes and her getting two pairs of pants, and both of us reading for a while in Borders.
Finally we went to get some food, and as we're eating
libralyte says, why don't we go to a movie, since the theater is right down the street? So we start thinking about what's out right now, and nothing immediately comes to mind. Then, "I still haven't seen Batman!" "Neither have I!" ::high five:: So we finally got to see
The Dark Knight, and it was definitely better than Batman Begins. I really thought it was great. On the way home we ended up having a conversation about the more recent depictions of various comic book characters (like Iron Man).
Included in the conversation was the distinction between Bruce Wayne and Batman (Bruce is sexy, Batman is intimidating, as is proper) and a lust-filled tangent about 300. It was a wonderful day.
Yesterday I went to
Eagles Traing Camp with
forrest_930 and a couple others. The day's practice ended early because of the weather, but I was mostly okay with that because it was colder than expected and I was freezing in my t-shirt and sandals.
We spent the afternoon at her place, where I was given excess veggies from
her garden, and got to watch
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. I had been terribly remiss in not watching it before, but that's been taken care of. I highly recommend that you
watch it.
Today I had my vision checked, because I know my vision has worsened. So I went and the doc upgraded my lenses. I should have my new glasses in another week or so. Yea! No more squinting!
I'm going to go rest now. I feel like with everything going on, plus late-night Olympic coverage, I haven't gotten enough sleep in days and days.
