random hit-and-run

I've been wanting to update but blogging has been dumped on the back burner temporarily... time has become such a precious commodity with the new schedule, and I don't want my waking hours to be split between just school, teaching, commuting and running errands.

No 'Poo is still going ok, except yesterday, I rinsed my hair (not scalp) in diluted shampoo yesterday.  Two days of conditioner on the ends was too much for my hair, and I realised it's cos I haven't changed to a conditioner without silicones yet.  So imagine the build-up.  After rinsing, my hair felt pretty normal.  :)  Actually I really want to go for a haircut, but not sure if i should subject my hair to a shampoo/conditioner experience so soon - will it restart the cycle all over again?  I think I must go compile some of the no 'poo info - it's all over the net and making me confused...

On the BBC just now, they were talking about how the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina ruptured for the first time in winter since 1917 (it usually ruptures in summer), but scientists claim it's not climatic but rather geographic reasons.  Whatever it is, it's pretty spectacular... this is last year's:

Also, I wrote a complaint email to Sakura House about Wild Oats yesterday - not about his bedroom activities, but the idiot did not take out the non-burnable rubbish last week.  This week it's my turn, and I started the week with 4 big bags of non-burnable garbage.  I'll upload the pics I took so you can see how wonderful it looks... It can't be helped if the rubbish piled up over the week, but if you miss the one chance a week to throw out the non-burnable garbage, it's just ridiculous. Not to mention it's summer and our kitchen is tiny. I don't want to live with cockroaches and rats!
