it's my destiny!!!
went to watch 'Le Pacte des Loups' yesterday - dun think it was meant to be funny, but we found it hilarious and i think some of the audience did too. The cinematography was really good tho'. It featured amongst other things:
- numerous Pantene ads, including before and after shots of your hair
- a manga monster (so disappointed that there were no werewolves)
- tributes to Truffaut, Guy Ritchie, probably others i din recognize... over-enthusiatic director?
- a sacrificial lamb...literally!!!
- a 'Titanic' moment
hm. what else I can't remember...
anyways, got to the alliance francaise an hour earlier to pick up tix, and ran into an ex-colleague of my ex-colleague... he's a projectionist for cathay, and does this on the side with some other guys. showed me how the projection system at the alliance worked. missed the opportunity to learn from nicolas last time, so must give it a shot now.. going down to tanglin club later to learn how to set up and i get to watch american pie 2! hahah.. fantastic. maybe if i learn enough i can part-time for them...
