Journal of Impossible Things Picspam
I'm sure you all remember the utterly wonderful Journal of Impossible Things in last night's Doctor Who. I've screencapped each page, and attempted to copy out the writing. I don't have a high quality version I do now - check out the bottom of the entry for the download - so it's not possible to read all of the words, and some of the handwriting is also quite messy. There is also some bad spelling - there are probably some typos in this, but most of the wrong spellings are in the journal, and I've copied them out exactly how they're spelt. If you can read something that I can't, comment and let me know. As it's from last night's episode, this of course contains spoilers, although nothing really from the plot of Human Nature - it's all from previous episodes.
There are about 25 pictures, so it's not particularly dial-up friendly. As usual, there's a download of screencaps at the end of the picspam, so feel free to take and use them.

Drawing of the TARDIS.
"There is a big center panel in some sort of ship, it has wires all around it, bright lights. Wires connect the light piece with the whole room, I feel safe there. It seems to be some kind of control panel."
Page 3:

"The central contraption I think controls the backroom in which it is in, bigger inside than outside.
The sideways text says "it's bigger inside than it is inside" (I have a feeling this should be "outside")
"it has controls on the light source, leavers and sockets wires that connect it to the room."
"There is also some notes and ... that I don't understand ... my dreams." (I would assume these are the Gallifreyan post-it notes stuck around everywhere.)
The sideways words say "of magic".

Drawing of the sonic screwdriver
"I have this magical, almost pen like implement, that opens anything, it lights up with bright white light when I use it. ... I think it was called sonic although I am sure the name was a lot longer. I cannot remember."
On the other side of the screwdriver it says "pen of magic", and possibly "a light of magic".

Torchwood symbols?
I can only read "I know these ... why? why?" and "symbols".
Page 6:
The empty child and company
"...with their faces ... in masks ... the little ... its like their faces became the masks ... came off ... gas."
Writing on the other side of the drawing says "people - masks - gas - old - young", and below it says "gas masks ... masks because of the gas masks"
Page 7:
Sorry about this page, most of it is obscured.
"... or whats ... in power, can ... deaths thats ... or whatever ... you all ... difference between ... thing which ... is somehow alive ... illumination. She .. light like ... steadily from ... seen this behemoth ... a shape to fly. It ... work on a blaze, except ... aloft slowly. Slowly like ... waiting to see what was ... shape, the metal, all ...". "Looking down at me in a very ... As if we had always known ... relative or child".
Page 8:
Drawing of a dalek
"killing anything. It stood only for itself, for the sides it was on. The other side had nothing on."
About the plunger: "it was like some kind of weapon. There was some kind of metal stick that came out and attacked, it was definitely metal."
"It looked like it was alive, although it was a machine. I am not sure on the colour. I think it was dark colour ... black or a silver it is unclear ... at the bottom".

I can't make much of this out, so I'll leave it at a screencap.

Text to the left of him: "blue monster with a big head he sat on his throne."
To the right: "there was a lot of monsters in this dream more than usual different one"
Below, it says: "I watched it from above above the world I watched it above the earth"

The only words I can make out are "brake" (repeated a lot) and "among us". I think the writing next to the auton says "brake through the glass..."
Page 12:
Drawing of two autons.
"they are amongst ourselves in those clothes too, only they are falling now, falling in waves, cut down with gunfire. The look on their faces is all too ... I think there faces were plastic. They had eyes that were empty."
Text next to the autons says "clothes too some were(?) different" and "plastic men".

Drawing of werewolf and K-9
Textt on the werewolf page says: "its a wolf although his features ... I can see that he is a wolf although he is different looking Can't get it right ..."
On K-9 page: "I know that I owned a dog but I kept giving them, or losing them. So I decided to protect it by making a kennel on wheels that covered it", "metal dog"
Page 13:

"Beautiful monsters. Clockwork! They have clocks for faces. And have left something behind, have left somneone behind again, and I can never get her back. Have set something on fire, and its away up the chimney and I'll never see it again. Broken glass"
The second page is mostly disjointed phrases: "masks? covered faces", "Beautiful, elegant", "permanent smile", "Beautiful monsters always smiling", "their faces are masks, are painted a striking white always smiling, always grinning. Empty eyes, black eyes"

To the right of the drawing, it says "in my dreams, she keeps walking away I see her in my dreams".
To the left: "She is my ... In my dreams I keep asking a girl where to find me(?) and she is dressed in a most unmodest way. She will not answer me and she keeps walking away"

Cyberman drawing
These don't exactly inspire coherance in Mr Smith. The writing is mostly a repetition of "metal men", "march", "evil metal", and "marching metal"
Page 16:
Only random words can be picked out of the page on the left. It seems to be mostly about the TARDIS, although the word "fugative" is there too

"It is my home I know it well, but it is huge, bigger on the inside than the outside", "magic box".
"Maius Latra Qua Extra!" I would assume this language is Latin, as that would fit in with the 1913-headmaster-of-boy's-school thing. My knowledge of Latin is pretty much nonexistant, but I think Maius means May, Latra means something to do with hunting, and Qua is an adverb. So... that doesn't make sense. If you know any Latin or know what language that is, drop a comment. And feel free to tell me that I've butchered the language and it doen't mean anything like that. It means "bigger inside than outside".
