From an article discussing problems within the Catholic Church that have caused a massive shortage of priests. Some suggestions have included allowing them to marry. Another issue brought up is the abuse scandals taking away morale and what to do about them.
In response to the scandals, the Vatican has been wrestling with whether to admit gay men to seminaries. Vatican investigators have been instructed to visit each seminary in the United States to look for "evidence of homosexuality" and see whether seminarians are being properly prepared to live celibately.
Evidence of homosexuality, eh? I'm beginning to wonder what that would involve. Do they go through their rooms to see how much effort has been put into the interior design? Maybe quiz them on their knowledge of Broadway show tunes? Perhaps they start playing "I will survive" and see if they can't help but dance. Oh wait, I know... mineral water. (Watch Heathers)
Seriously though, if someone in seminary is attracted to guys his own age, wouldn't that be a poor indicator of him being interested in children?
