hmm yeah.. i don't necessarily hate jessica simpson or even her music. i just hate her public image...which i think is overdone and disturbingly crafted by her perverted father. she needs to fire him and then disown him, cause there's some seriously messed up crap going on in his head that i don't even want to know about. i just wish she would stand up for something more than just hopping around like a ditz...i suppose there was that one time that she spoke out in support of that "we give attractive and artificial looks to children with ugly faces" organization...but i wish she'd go for something bigger and broader. it was such an odd juxtaposition to see jessica hosting the teen choice awards and act like an airhead, wearing bling teeth and crap, and then see jessica alba win choice hottie and make her speech "i just wanna remind everyone that it's what's inside that really counts...except in this category. so i would like to thank my makeup artist, my hairstylists, my stylists, my trainers, the photographers who have been airbrushing me over the years - thank you very much - my manicurists who scrub the crusty stuff off my elbows and my feet, thank you so much. what i'm trying to say here, kids, is it's all just an image. and if you truly wanna be hot, just be yourself." which totally starts off ditzy-sounding, but she turns it into something larger...and subtly intelligent. i'm pretty sure jessica could do things like that...keep her ditzy personae, but slightly tweak it a little to be more of a role model. but she doesn't. probably cause her dad tells her not to. what a shame.
