status quo

we worry with extensive endlessness about what other people think, so much so that as we worry these bits of our time away,
we lose ourselves
we lose ourselves in trying to define ourselves to be what is deem as most appropriate
but losing ourselves isn't that appropriate afterall.

That is because appropriate is relative, a matter of opinion imposed on ourselves and each other as a result of living in a world that judges you.

I disagree with that last statement in bold, because you have too full a heart to be flat. You could try and flatten it all you want, and it'd still expand right out.

You, please don't lose yourself. Because you are one of the warmest people I've met.

true, true. it's like we're trying to be appropriate, but then even the definition of appropriate varies, and we'll be like what to do what to do? and eventually we'll wake up to realise that it's a waste of good time wondering exactly what appropriate is.

awwww...

i won't lose myself, i can promise that : D and thank you but i dont really think so, i'm always so emo and self-victimised..?!

mm you're not too bad yourself :))hope you're doing well now...

I wouldn't agree with emo and self-victimised, I think we all have rights to feel, and that's exactly a gauge of your capacity to feel, to be able to feel for yourself and yet for others.

We tend to overlook the simple, good things, because we take them for granted. And underestimate ourselves, because we confuse confidence with cockiness and won't believe in ourselves enough.

And, I'm doing fine, haha. Just started work again, today.

Haha, hey, it's not a bad thing. We tend to be cold, frozen over by circumstance and the weight of the world. Feel is good. Good.

And, that's true. But then, we just got to do all we can. Because giving up is the worst thing we can do, we just keep trying until we get it right.

I'll be studying at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in April, haha. Yeah. You know, we should go jam someplace, and catch up, sometime.

Oh no, that's different from giving up, haha. That's kind of more like giving in. Eh. If that makes sense. Giving up has a negative sense of finality, I think.

:D

Rly? Rlly?

Haha, I was going to comment on your latest post, but I figure I could do it here.

Keep trying ! You'll do just fine. That's how it is, I guess, that most people give in too easily, steps away from the prize. So, jiayou. You're going to do alright. Because if we eliminate the give up/in, we are capable of so much more than we think.
