Current goings-on
Alright so here's the skinny on more stuff that's been going on lately...
When I left my old yobby-yob, I had a bunch of cash-ola accrued because of profit sharing. Yeah, some of you will think it's an unwise decision but, what the fuck ever, I cashed that shit out and paid off ALL of our debts aside from my truck payment. After I paid everything off, we still had funds left (I'd planned it like that) so we finally went shopping for the 50-inch plasma I'd been wanting for the longest time. We picked up a Samsung HP-S5053, a pretty nice stand with gloss black metal & black glass that matches our new TV perfectly, as well as a new home theater system that rocks fucking nuts. I will be taking pictures of all this stuff soon.. well actually my buddy Mike AKA Ratlhead is gonna come take some pics with his fancy-pants digital camera since mine sucks.
We had the TV delivered on Monday and right after work I went home & set up the TV and home theater system and we watched CSI: Miami in all its High Definition glory. I played some Xbox 360 after that.. till about 1am.. and spent all day yesterday wishing I'd gone to bed earlier. LOL.. Burnout Revenge has NEVER looked better than it does now ;-)
We've got Goodwill coming to take the old set-up away today. This will get me a $1700 tax write-off. Plus it's easier than trying to sell everything myself and I'll be damned if I ever try and move a 250-pound tv down 3 flights of stairs again!!!
Okay so next up: Not long after we moved into our current place, we went to The Futon Shop and found some really awesome sofabeds that don't look like futons at all. When we tried to get the 6-month interest-free financing through the store, our credit was declined. This weekend, we're gonna go see if the ones we liked so much are still there and buy them outright. UPGRADE!
Finally, after all that, I'm taking Liza out to test-drive some cars and put a down payment on a new car for her. She's been driving around in her clunker for like 11 years and it's high-time she got something a lot better.
