Long time, no see...
Alright so it's been I don't even know how long since I updated this thing. So here's a little bit about what's going on lately.
I started my new jobby-job last Tuesday and, so far, it's pretty cool. There's tons less stress than I was going through at my old job and I am so NOT being micro-managed at all. What am I doing? I'm the Help Desk Administrator for a management consulting firm in their Western Region office in Mountain View. Basically I take maybe 2 or 3 helpdesk type calls and do network backups, prepare computers for deployment to users, wipe out hard drives, create documentation & stuff.. pretty easy so far.
A little more than a week before I started, I got an email from my new company informing me that I needed to book flights for myself and Liza to attend the company's 30th anniversary retreat in Phoenix from September 27th PM to October 1st. Basically it's an all-expense-paid vacation for 3 days. While I attend a couple training events on Thursday and Friday, Liza will get to go have massages, facials, manicures & pedicures, and other resort activities GRATIS! I get to partake some on Friday and all day on Saturday. They're having a scotch-tasting class among other things ;-) - so stoked on this!
Let's see.. what else..
I picked up an Xbox 360 - I've been waiting for PS3 to come out but I'm fucking tired of waiting through all the push-backs & shit and I had a chance to play Xbox 360 at a friend's house and was pretty impressed by the console so, after months of debating, I finally caved this past weekend and got one. I got the super-deluxe one with the hard drive, wireless controller, Xbox Live, got a spare controller, Madden 07 and Dead Rising. I then proceeded to get myself some Microsoft Points and installed a shitload of games from Xbox Live Arcade. Then I connected that bitch to my computer over my wireless network at home so I can stream music from my home computer and rock out with my cock out while I play games :D
Basically the thing is fucking awesome.
So Liza has had to go in the other room to watch her baseball games while I fuck around on Xbox hahahahhahahaha
Not much else is going on really.. just kinda chillin', happy to not be all stressed out every fucking goddamn day anymore.
