[Rain's always looked much younger than she is. Which serves her well on the streets of Vegas. Not many people pay too much attention to, or worry much about a young, innocent looking street kid.

"I'm so very sorry, sir. I didn't mean -" she blushed and ducked her head. "You're very kind."
[She hurried off further down the street.]

After that she scurried off to a market to buy a few bags of food and lug them off into a back alley. She gave one to a couple of scraggly looking kids there, scolding them and gesturing for them to get back in the empty looking house and off the street. Then she was off again, heading for another dark alley with the remaining bags.]

He'll just keep a little distance off, light up another cigarette. He's not going to try to catch her, turn her in, scold her, or anything really. He just wanted to know what her game was. He'll be off here in a moment, now that he knows.]

Whatever she sees, or 'hears', reassures her though, and she gives him a little nod, biting her lip and ducking her head.]

I'm the biggest and I'm not sick or hurt or anything.
[She's older than she looks, but some of the trauma she's been through has made her a little... innocently simple.]
Somebody has to watch out for them, you know.

[He's...not sure what to make of it all. It crosses his mind that it might be part of a bigger scheme, acting kind of simple to get people off their guard before she relieves them of their valuables. But maybe not. He did see her hand off that bag before. He kind of tries to size her up for a moment or two. This involves a little sidelong squinting at her. He's still not sure.
He casts a glance up and down the street where they're standing.]
Kind of dangerous out here.
[He's got half a mind to give her a lift to wherever she's going next--if it's any distance. He's not quite sure why, but maybe it's just sympathy between the not-entirely-honest. ... As long as she doesn't try to rip him off too >:|]

I know. But I'm quick. I can run fast and I hide good.
[She wouldn't rip him off. He doesn't look like he has much to spare himself.]
