PS1

I only want to talk about one thing, and that thing only. PS1 in queens last night was mad ill. Such an interesting setting. The young, the old, the, the hip, the wierd, the loud, the quite, the art lovers, the dancers.

So PS1 is in the old public school1 in queens NY, after it closed the MoMa took it over and made it a museum for art, i suppose more insilational art, perhaps on the wierder side. Since it was a school, there is a courtyard in the middle of everything, in the summer, every saturday, from 3-9 pm, there is a dance party in the middle of the place. you can go see the art, become enhebriated, dance dance dance, whatever.

So my 2 hours spent at PS1 was really interesting just because i was getting the feel of the place. The things that stick out in my memory are the foam frisbees being thrown along with the occasional non foam-hard-plastic-zipper-discuss' that would hit people in the face. Also the 40-55 year old man dancing with a pack of hipsters wearing a yellow mesh shirt, that though it was mesh still was stained with sweat. Or the boy in front of me whos one and only dance move was a pelvic thrust back and forth. I apreciated the attractive foriegners who danced with me, especially the asian boy who "loved the beat" because it makes you "dance and move to the flow."

so PS1 was really interesting, it would probably be an interesting place to just go by yourself. I wish I could go every saturday for the rest of my life
