a thought to ponder

i met this dog today. he was so friendly. i couldnt figure out how a dog could accept everyone that quick.
then i learned he was deaf.
he just seems so happy..in his own little world.
he cant hear people bicker..
he cant hear all the chaos in this world
all he can do
is feel love
cotton is a great dog

then i tried calling him over to me.
he cant hear
he will never hear again
he wont ever hear people bicker..
he will never hear all the chaos in the world
and he will never hear
love
cotton is a dog in silence...

how sad.
i would hate to be deaf.
id miss so many sounds.
i guess this whole situation just made me realize things i take for granted.
what would it be like...to be deaf?

one thing i came up with
i wish my dog was deaf sometimes
then the barking i wake up to daily
would be no more.
then my dog could never hear amanda call her ugly.
