You might possibly consider downloading the opening ceremony via bittorrent (4-5GB)...

I actually tried some torrent files on Mininova website, but the speed wouldn't go up even though there were many seeds (which I found strange) so I gave up on torrent stuff.
Maybe I'll end up trying some more links after all.

Your ISP might be blocking BT connections... Considering putting the bittorrent port something other than the default one and encrypt the connections. I'll recommend uTorrent from www.utorrent.com (:
