This actual footage you are about to see is not real....

Sunday night Jer and I saw 'The 4th Kind', it was pretty good, I don't see why it's getting such bad reviews.  I watch scary movies all the time and I'm never phased, but this one is one of the few that creeped me out! 0_0  Ghosts, monsters, zombies, meh....not that scary....and especially not vampires or werewolves, those are goofy.....Some creatures are even cute to me!  When I was 4, I swore to my my mother I saw the Mothman and I was totally calm about it.  But grays (aka Roswell grays, the aliens with the big black eyes)......I hate grays!!!!  D:

The movie claims it is a reinacts actual incidents that happened in Nome, Alaska, and puts side by side footage of the 'real' taped events and the ones done by actors.  There's a psychiatrist named Dr Abigail Tyler who is helping many people who claim to be seeing an 'owl' in their windows at night.  When she sees so many people all have the same story, she tries to put some under hypnosis so they can remember more details.  Under hypnosis, the first man becomes incredibly horrified at what he remembers (being abducted), is normal when he wakes up, but goes home and murders his family and himself because he's afraid of being abducted again.  Dr Tyler gets blamed for his insanity and the authorities try to tie her to the murder.  She also realizes she is having the same experiences and starts to investigate abduction theories.   Aparently her murdered husband was interested in the same thing before he died, so this really inspires her further.

One night Dr Tyler is abducted and she happened to leave her audio recorder on when she was making notes before she fell asleep.  The movie says it's her real recording of being abducted.  It's pretty damn scary....what makes it extra creepy is there are alien voices.  D:  Later it's discovered the aliens are speaking Sumarian, the oldest language in human history, and it's implied that aliens put humans here on earth many years ago.

Later in the movie, Dr Tyler's young daughter is abducted.  There's 'actual footage' of the police video watching over the house and you see a craft shadow come into the corner of the screen, but it's all scrambled.  (the entire movie you are hinted that the aliens are always making sure nobody remembers or sees anything, and if they do, they die.)  Another man begs to be put under hypnosis so he can remember what happened, and he asked Dr Tyler to come to his house.  You see he got an implant, and when he tries to talk about what he remembers, the implant makes him hover in his bed, his spine twists, and he's dead.    Later the Dr wants to try and remember what she can to get her daughter back, she also has an implant, and it nearly kills her when she tries to go under hypnosis.....then you hear the alien voices speak through her.  They say she can't have her child back because she's their experiment.....and it says that there's nothing she can do because they are god.  ........creepy.........

In the end they still claim all the video footage was real, and it's up to you to decide if it's true.  They did a good job on making it look real, but seemed just way too wild to be true.  I went home and looked on-line and they say everywhere that it's all fiction.  They say there's no such doctor and and the murders and disapearances in Nome were 'all due to alcoholic hallucinations'.  Actually, the alcohol thing sounds bogus to me, but I think it's safe to say it's not true.  Still, it makes me think!  I actually feel it's possible aliens exist, but I'd like to think they aren't such dicks like the ones in 4th Kind.  You never see them, but they're jerks!  At least other abduction cases I heard, the aliens just seem like scientists on a mission.....4th Kind aliens just seem to want to fuck with people.

For now the only gray I want to see is Roger from American Dad....worst he does is take over tropical islands and dance to Bananarama.  XD
