Somewhere under all this snow is the same city I left 2.6 years ago. I know this because Henry V is playing, directed by Michael Kahn, whose Hamlet was the last play I
reviewed right before I left. Also, Synetic is still in town, doing a well-reviewed Antony and Cleopatra that could be good, but I don't know if it's really worth 45 of my entertainment dollars. I still don't know how to feel about their Macbeth from 2007. Seriously, it's great with the choreography and lights and body language and the well-deployed fog machine, but in the final analysis silent Shakespeare might be like chaste marriage.
A bit of Sondheim would be nice after all this house arrest.
