A co-worker made a delicious shortbread dessert with apricot preserves and sliced almonds. Against my better judgment, I had two pieces (I'm allergic to almonds) and now I'm suffering the consequences of a funky rash all over my face. No itchiness, no redness - just bumps below the surface of my skin. All over. I'm feeling no other affects from this odd nut allergy. My super soft and smooth complexion is currently telling the story of my stupidity in braille.
Ironically, almonds are the least allergy inducing nut. Go figure.
