You touched her perfect body with your mind
Last night I went to a Leonard Cohen tribute at the LSPU Hall with my brother and another friend of his. The only reason I got to go was because Jared's girlfriend had to go out of town, so I took her ticket. Well, too bad for her, but I'm glad she had to go because the show was absolutely amazing. I mean, I've always been a Cohen fan, but the artists that performed at this show were absolutely phenomenal. We have such amazing talent here in Newfoundland, and it was proven last night. Honestly. No world-famous musicians that I can think of could have possibly done a better job. Nope, no one. It was that good.
The Cohen tribute has been an annual event for seven years now, and this year they had to extend to eight nights because of the demand. The house was packed. And I know that if I am in town next year, I am without a doubt getting a ticket.
I wish I could work poetry the way Cohen does. That man is a god.
PS. Only Canadians will know who I'm speaking of, but Mary Walsh was in the line in front of me to get tickets, and boy does she look good these days. I guess she's lost some weight, but she was looking better than I've ever saw her. Anyway, just felt like commenting on that.....
