people change at college. they really do.
i don't quite know what it is...maybe the dining hall food, maybe the alcohol consumption (or lack thereof), maybe the overexposure to 18-22 year olds. i'm not quite sure...
all i know is that for all of you graduating seniors, don't be afraid to take leaps, to risk losing sanity, to step out on the edge. never be afraid of changing.
for all of you who finished your first little bit of college, listen here: we've made it. for some of us, we've changed more than anyone at home could ever have imagined. for others, we fit in just like before. but, no matter what, you can't go back. life MUST change. YOU must change. don't try to stay stagnant...don't try to settle back into your senior year days. it's different now.
but, it's SUMMER. so, party. live it up. go eat pie. sleep less. drive down balboa in the middle of the night through empty parking spots. party at the beach after it's closed. sit on a lifeguard tower and philosophize. laugh your fool head off in the middle of someone's backyard with tiki torches and cheetos. and let yourself be who you are RIGHT NOW. be content with where you are, with your state of being, with your life. and then live it. live it BIG.
