So yeah, I've been slack. I know. I can't help it. Twitter is easier to update. I don't have to think about paragraph structure.
Okidoke, then. Waaaaaaay back in April, the first weekend, we went to the Sydney Royal Easter Show! Oh yeah, good times. Had to drag Drew and Ethan around but once we located
twilight_mash, that was less annoying. They behaved themselves pretty well, at least. It was that or I killed them and hid the bodies. We did our food tour of one of the exhibition halls - SO much nice food in there. Missed out on cupcakes, though. Boo. But did get ice cream and strawberry and marshmallow skewers. Dipped in/drizzled with chocolate... best food ever. There was a cute guy at the ice cream stall, too. Eye candy while getting real candy. That's a good marketing strategy! Had some really nice Mexican for lunch too. Then we whipped around looking at art, homeware stuff (generally boring that one) and flowers before the massive trek to look at all the animals. Did it a bit earlier this year so we could actually SEE them when the halls were open. Score. We actually saw horses this year! Always miss them. Of course, that also meant we were kinda out of things to do by about 6:30. Mum and Dad didn't even come until after then, either. It was cheaper to do it that way and all. So we had time for food and showbags before the fireworks for a change. It wasn't so much of a rush. There was some drama with the wheelchair Mum had but we eventually got back to the car! Unlike my uncle, ours wasn't broken into. And unlike some poor other fuckers, it wasn't on FIRE, either. Yep, some bastards broke into all the cars on the level my uncle was on and set one on fire. That's just cold.
Um, I don't think much happened since the show... Christopher Dean getting Twitter and the massive amount of LOL that followed? That was pretty good. Other than that, it's been work and French. Found out I can cook if I put my mind to it! Although, that gets old after a while.
But then, last week,
twilight_mash and I went to see Lily Allen in concert. OMG SO MUCH FUN EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! But it was so God damn cold while we waited. SERIOUSLY. My teeth were chattering and our lips had turned blue. So. Cold. But worth it! The guest band was the Cassette Kids and I kinda liked them. Not usually into dance type music but I dug it. They were fun! Was tempted to but their CD but I didn't want to put $10 on my credit card and I didn't have anymore cash. Bah, oh well. Lily's set was SO good though. She has such a pretty voice and the crowd really went off. She was actually quite surprised by that so yay us! There was some tall asshole in front of me so I had to try and look around him and that didn't always work. Seriously people: DON'T MAKE OUT WITH YOUR BOY/GIRLFRIEND AT A CONCERT. YOU LOOK LIKE A DOUCHEBAG. Fuckers. But aside from that, it was awesome. I was dripping with set by the time the concert was over. We had a little bit of trouble finding Dad afterwards but eventually got home! Also, found out that there's an outdoor skating rink at the Entertainment Quarter til October. Seriously need to check that out.
So, yeah. That's pretty much all that's been happening. My birthday on Sunday! Woo! Something to maybe look forward to, anyway. I've been putting off doing the dishes so I think I'll do that and then sleep. Yep, this is how interesting I am right now.
