Are you kidding me?

Okay, so I'm clearly not as over this as I thought. Skating screeching ahead!

Dear Evan Lysacek,

YOU FUCKING DUMBASS. Seriously. You dick. Agreeing to skate to Bolero? STUPID. SO SO STUPID. As if your performance last year wasn't boring enough, let's add unoriginal on top!

You sir, are a moron. And listening to Tatiana Tarasova was your first mistake. (Well, at least regarding this. But that's too long to get into now.) Just stop. While you're ahead.

But hey! Maybe you won't fall on a jump during it, like Michelle Kwan. But I doubt it. Your track record isn't that good.

Absolutely no love,
Alana.

My rant: brought to you by the letter format!

Seriously, WHY DO PEOPLE CHOOSE BOLERO TO SKATE TO NOW! YOU WILL NEVER, EVER ESCAPE COMPARISONS TO TORVILL AND DEAN. EVER. No matter how damn good you skate. It'll either be "Not as good as T&D" or "Almost as good as T&D". It'll never be better. Bolero happened long enough ago that it's got, as I told Hannah, a rosy, nostalgic glow around it. Nothing will ever be as good. Not to mention they broke records with it. A record which is impossible to break now, by the way, because they changed the scoring.

Just stop. It's like Carmen. Only Carmen has just been over done. As epic as the Battle of the Carmens was... so many people have done it, it gets lost in a blur. ENOUGH, PEOPLE. WIDEN THE HORIZON. There's a lot more classical music out there! It was all there was for centuries!

Ugh, and then Belbin and Agosto choose Tosca. COME ON! As if they weren't annoying enough. Tosca is like Carmen: the skating door knob. Everyone's had a turn.

I just... I give up on the American team. Kimmie Meissner came 8th last Worlds. Davis and White are my last hope for you guys. Step it up!

*cough* Right. Finished now. I feel better.
