My thoughts on last night's LOST
Another week where I yell "ARGH!" at the end of LOST. I'm still trying to decide if I liked this episode. I saw the whole Locke backstory as being unfinished - we still don't know what paralyzed him nor do we know what made him break up with Helen and turn to phone sex operators. Some people over at lost_tv have speculated that Locke's father is the "real" Sawyer. I like that theory - he's a con man and it seems like most of the people planewrecked on the island were connected prior to getting on that plane.

I liked how Hurley tried to get Locke to enter the numbers incorrectly into the computer. I want to know if the whole thing is an experiment or if pushing the button on the island really is somehow saving the world. Fucking Desmond - where the hell was he running to? He can't get off the island!

It's weird because last season, it seemed like the writers convinced us that the island was magical and mystical, though this season, most of the wackiness is explained scientifically. The polar bears are not being manifested by Walt (or are they?!), the monster is mechanical and the entire island was, or still is, some weird psychological experiment. I'm extremely curious as to what this "incident" mentioned on the Orientation video was. There are still way too many unanswered questions! It's driving me crazy.

Jin speaking PERFECT ENGLISH?! Huh? How could he have kept that a secret for this long? It has to be someone's dream.
