i hate these post modern hippies. today we had some handing out flyers on campus. the flyer informed us that if we were free thinkers that we would wear dark clothes are a dark armband for the next few days to show our protest against an "unjust" war. the flyer also claimed that all they want is "peace". but who do they want "peace" for? obviously they don't care about "peace" over in iraq. what do they want? do they want us to pull our troops out so sadaam can re-open the torture rooms and rape rooms and "peace" can be restored to the world?
and somehow they managed to work dr. martin luther king jr. in on their side. i don't see how dr. martin luther king jr (if he were alive today) i don't see how he would be against this war. forget the fact that sadaam has weapons of mass distruction and forget that this problem has been going on for twelve years. sadaam has killed hundreds of thousands of his own people. what kind of peace are these people looking for?
