DRIVER CHARGED IN ASSAULT WITH CAR: A 21-year-old Elsmere man has been released on $2,000 secured bail on a charge of felony assault after he intentionally struck a 19-year-old man with his car, New Castle County police said. Anthony Vanover, of the 200 block of Filbert Ave., also was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. About 12:40 a.m. Saturday, police and paramedics went to Pike Creek Road for a report of a man who was struck by a car, police said. The victim was found unconscious in the road. Investigators learned the 19-year-old was at a party on Pike Creek Road when he got into a fight with another man. After the fight was over, the victim remained at the party. A short time later, the other man involved in the fight returned with Vanover, who was driving a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Police said Vanover saw the victim and drove the car toward him. The victim was thrown over the car, and suffered a fractured skull, brain hemorrhage, broken leg and other internal injuries. His condition was not available Sunday night.
So on a serious note. A friend of mine, I didnt know him very well. But we chilled, went to Blue Mt. Baked. Enough to consider him a friend in my standards. He got into a fight as stated above and got runned over by some Soprano wanna be prick. I just hope Takash gets better and Im prayin for him. Seriously though, this shyt shouldnt happen.
