cup-a joe had a table at the van and bonnie chocolate breakfast deal this morning. the problem is that van and bonnie's morning starts at 5 am in the first place. on top of that we had to brew all the coffee we would need at the downtown store and leave time to load everything up and bring it down to living history farms at 4 am to set up our table. that means they start brewing at around 12:30 am. i had the good fortune of only needing to be there at 2 am. with all that, we weren't exactly used to scheduling eating time at those hours. so once 10 am rolled around and nothing had entered any of our stomachs for 8 hours(except for chocolate fudge flavored coffee and the occasional something else miniscule and 100% chocolate), we were very ready for a hard earned, self treated breakfast at the machine shed.
jim's son wants to skateboard with me. i think he likes knowing that i'm probably as crappy at it as him these days, but older and not an idiot. jim's son also wants to play the drums. jim wants to play the drums again for the first time in decades. that crappy drumset that i don't want that was in my parent's basement is at their house now. i hope his family won't hate me after that one. i got my mom's car taken to the shop to have the brakes fixed, then finally slept for a few hours in the afternoon. once stacey got off work, i met her there, where she proceeded to lead me in a caravan to valley west mall and purchase for me a surprize pair of shoes that she had held in my size. she's a lovely girl, that stacey. then off to boone where i will leave my car for her dad to "mix with another car to make one good car". the quotes go out to stacey. that's her dad's specialty these days it seems.
in the room where i am typing this right now, stacey was playing her cheap yamaha keyboard when she found a wonderful pre-programmed rendition of venus. so i sang along. then typed this.
ok.
