It's fine! 8) And you just reminded me that I should make a powers/abilities post for Clare sometime soon, whoops.

I've played FFVII, but I'm not terribly familiar with the Compilation stuff, admittedly, so I'm not sure about any extra background information on Sephiroth and her powers and whatnot. For Clare, though, she's pretty powerful -- she's a lot stronger than a human as she's a Claymore, and she's spent the last seven years training herself for her ~impossible mission. She can heal a lot of serious injuries, too, and do stuff like reattach dismembered limbs, so uh, I'm not afraid to let her get a bit beaten up? Haha.

And despite what she said, Clare will probably hold back herself. :| Since it's a spar, rather than a serious battle, and she doesn't want to hurt a human unless she has to. If Sephiroth holds back a bit too much though, she may let frustration get the better of her and get a bit reckless.

As for the spar, well, Clare won't push herself to her full limits since Claymores are always at risk of going too far and losing control. She really just wants to work off some frustration and test herself. So after she's expended some energy and exchanged a few blows, she'll probably be happy enough with that. :)b IS THIS HELPFUL/TOO TL;DR? lskjdj I'll try to get a powers post put up so you can see what exactly she's capable of, and if there's anything else you're unsure about, feel free to ask!

Oh, thanks for the info! Don't worry, it was helpful and definitely not too TL;DR. I keep meaning to read Claymore at some point, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'm not the biggest Compilation expert myself, but there's really not too much more information of that kind in the other games. You inspired me to add a brief powers list to Sephiroth's permissions entry, if that helps.

Sephiroth's the same as Clare in some ways. Enhanced strength, capable of healing, trains all the time, and she never pushes herself to the limits of her powers in canon, not even when she (later) becomes genocidal.
