OOC: 20 things meme

Okay. On Eva's, I gave mostly flippant little answers to the question "What don't they know about her?" simply because I'm embarrassed at how much thought I've put into her. I would have done the same for Jeremie, but unfortunately it's proved nigh-impossible for me to be flippant where Hacker Shota's concerned. Due to the lack of backstory given in his canon, this is entirely headcanon (okay, there're two exceptions).

-Realistic violence (and by "realistic" I mean "it's possible this could happen to his friends due to the world's general fuckedupedness and/or XANA") is absolutely abhorrent to him. (Why yes, he has nightmares involving John Dread.)

-He's done contract work both for certain Chinese officials and people connected to the European Union, concealing his age...

-...and because of the latter, he has a house deeded in his name not too far from Kadic. (He has no use for it, and might offer it to David and Marie at some point... that is, if he ever manages to stammer out that yes, he really would appreciate having a grown-up's help.)

-He's as much of a mama's boy as freaking Jordan...

-...after all, Julia taught her son quite a bit of what he knows about computers and how to manipulate them.

-He'd still like his dad to be proud of him, though.

-He regrets not having the kind of musical skills Odd and Ulrich both do - he did have a chance for piano lessons, but didn't take it.

-In spite of any evident maturity or intelligence, Jeremie is twelve. He still has a very black-and-white view of the world and what's right and wrong, it's inevitable.

-That said, he hates being treated like he's twelve. (Part of the reason he's latched onto David so - he's never patronizing.)

-Despite everything, despite his own utter lack of athletic ability and tendency to skip Phys Ed, he really does respect Jim Morales for the actions he took during Aelita's first materialization.

-He hasn't been notably ill since he was eight years old. (That was when he first started reading Otherland - it's pretty easy to sympathize with Orlando when you're feverish and dizzy....)

-He's very reserved about acts of physical affection; he believes very firmly that fifteen is the youngest age that anyone should even be thinking about having any relationship beyond the "holding hands and maybe kissing" level.

-He has no living grandparents.

-In the course of DDD events, he may someday have to enter Lyoko - so you know? His "totally ridiculous" form Ulrich and Odd laughed about? Totally Mr. Puck.

-Other than the past two years, he can't really remember a time when he's had close, genuine friends.

-He is not addicted to caffeine. Nope. He can do fine without coffee, honest. Really.

-He's prone to headaches, but refuses to see a doctor about them (silly boy thinks he's being tough by working through pain).

-He sleeps very little. In part because of insomnia, but mostly because he hates that point between sleep and wakefulness where you can't really control what you think about.

-Despite a public attitude of "oh how immature", he actually does frequent certain parts of 4chan... namely the boards usually lacking gratuitous pronz.

-He's an extremely conflicted atheist, now. The existence of the gods here, and the Epic Thread of Babelfrench with David coupled with Aelita's inadvertent admission of faith, kind of changed his worldview. At this point, if Aelita asked, he'd go to Mass with her... after all, he's been raised Catholic (was even in a children's choir when he was little!) even if he doesn't really believe any of it.
