((whoopsie, forgot to lock))

She prays. Even after everything, even with what we face on an almost daily basis, she prays.

I'm wrong to think it's - no, I can't even type that out. What if I'm the one who's wrong?

Mère de Dieu, Aelita, pourquoi devez-vous être si humain?

((I'm pretty sure "Mère de Dieu" isn't idiomatically correct... but as I haven't yet started ( Read more... )

Sometimes, its nice to know that we're not completely alone in the universe. I have a pretty interesting relationship with God. I think he likes to laugh at me, but better to have a humorous god than no god at all, I think.

Ah, sorry, but I don't understand French. Are you asking if Aelita is really human?

I guess that's true. I've just never really been that comfortable with God, though now....

No, no, it wasn't that. I'd meant to lock this - what I said there was "Mother of God, Aelita, why do you have to be so human?" I didn't mean it like it sounds, I swear!

Yeah, I know how that is. Sometimes, I think I exist solely for His personal amusement. At least I know my place in life.

I can definitely sympathize. This computer can get pretty glitchy on me, too. Doesn't always want to lock when I want it to.

Ah, I get it now. Well, if she's an AI, it makes sense that those who created her would do so in their own image, right? I mean, humans want to create things that look and behave like humans. That's the primary goal of artificial intelligence: to create an autonomous and free-thinking entity.

And that's one thing I don't know. My place, I mean.

It's disturbing! I should be able to lock things, I don't know what's wrong with this site....

Yeah... and in her case it was a success. She's more human than I am.

No one ever does at your age. You'll find your place, one day. Just do a little growing up first.

I don't know either. Otto is much more computer savvy than I am. Both Connors and I were brought to this place by malware ...

Don't be silly. You're plenty human.
