Liverpool will have to make do without Daniel Agger for up to one month. X-rays show that Agger fractured a rib during the Carling Cup final against Cardiff. Agger will now miss the international friendly for Denmark against Russia as well as a long line of Liverpool games which include premier league games against Arsenal and Newcastle and not least the important FA-cup match against against Stoke on March 18.

Just when he gets a very decent run of games.

ETA: @bensmithTimes Gerrard felt his hamstring. Will go back to Merseyside tonight, assessed by #LFC in morning. Almost certainly out of #AFC game (Dalglish from LFC.tv): "If I don't know what it is, I can't tell you whether there is every chance or no chance (of Gerrard facing Arsenal), so rather than speculate it's best for us to just wait and see what the medical people have to say once they've seen him."
